its a girl!!!!

heres what I did!!
cut an A4 sheet of snow embossed card in half
then with 1 cut a scallopped apperture on the cricut into it
I then cut more scallops white and striped and layered them on to the other sheet of white, making sure they were in line with the aperture
I added some ribbon and then glued one side of the white cards together
added a button and 'its a girl' cut from cricut
simples!!

I will put this in for allsorts baby challenge

thanks for looking
xx

new baby

does anyone have the new forever friends CD??
its absolutely beautiful
have had a right good play with it yesterday!
used some buttons I had floating around for some time now
embossed backing vellum
cut a scallopped square on the cricut and then teamed it up with an image and backing from the CD

I made this card to fit in with the challenges at
allsorts challenge - baby theme
crazy challenge - all about birthdays
creative cottage - touchy feely (embossed vellum)
the pixie cottage - the lovely sketch number 27

flowersoft

Hands up crafters - all you who buy something in a craftshop or online because you
really really really NEED it!!!

well it is a bit problem of mine, I saw these little girl images ages ago in the craft shop not to far from me, and fell in love with them - plus ages ago I felt the NEED to buy flowersoft with no idea what to do with it -thought well what the heck will put flowersoft on the girls - then forgot I had bought them

When looking for something entirely different in my craft stash I came across them again and thought I would use this little girl (theres one in yellow in the pack too) for the challenge at our creative corner as the colour scheme is red, white, green and black - not actually colours I would put together normally.

I used green, red and a tad of mixed colour flowersoft for the grass, flowers and her ribbon

I followed the nice and straight forward sketch from sketch Saturday but rotated it
the challenge at create for fun is flowers this week
and pile it on challenge is to use plastic or something that stretches so I have used some plastic buttons

have left the inside blank on this card, perhaps could be a sympathy card or a thankyou or well anything really

thanks for looking

red and green!!

Just Us Girls Challenge this week is to use a template
well I had seen this shaped card being made on TV and after a lot of 'messing around' with card, I managed to make my own template for it

here I have put it a bit flatter to show it a bit better too, now the decor isnt that brilliant as its a first attempt, but hey~!! so easy too so will be doing another one soon
I have coloured edwin with promarkers, he was holding a balloon but I decided to put a flower in his hand instead (oh just remembered, I coloured his wings with a sakura pen)
I used some paper I got in a multi pack at the NEC last year and added a little bit of ribbon too
if anyone wants a copy of my template just let me know and I will mail you one

thanks for looking
Paula

bit more decoupage

I had forgotten I enjoyed cutting and layering things, quite enjoyed it today
have used a jolly nation sheet to make this congratulations card
for passing a driving test
the 12x12 paper I have cut into for the backing I have had in my stash since I started papercrafting, have not a clue where it came from and I made my own congratulations sheet on the computer, the layout I used was from Friday Sketchers Blog

decoupage day

well yesterdays bit of decoupage got me thinking.....
I have loads and loads of sheets, its about time I used some up!
that way, wont feel so bad when I buy new things
(like the CD I just invested in!)
I have used this sheet before but obviously not the same bike (there is 3 on the sheet)
I found a map of the area I live in on google images and printed that as backing paper, then layered with a bit of silver card from the BB (bit box) and then onto black corrugated card
easy peasy lemon squeezy

and with it being a mans card I will use it for the challenge at marks finest papers blog

blog candy from Kellie

wooooo hooooo
look what candy Kellie is offering, the new tilda summer range
how fab is that!!!!

ends on 4th August
good luck - but hope my luck is better than yours hehehehe

another stamp that has been neglected - I did a mass stamp the other day so will probably use her a few times now

I wanted to do the sugar bowl sketch challenge this week, its so simple but so lovely too!
I also have added yet more to the 'dreaded bit box!!!!'

oh so simple

well how unlike me - less is more sometimes, I dont mean with less clothes - mean without embellies
Here is a card I have made for Delightful Challenges blog
no designer papers or embellishments
the 'nurse' is decoupage, had her for ages, think I got her at the NEC the first time I went, then kept to black and white and a bit of silver from the bit box

onestitch at a time blog wanted black, white and 1 other colour (in this case silver)
sentimental sundsays blog was 'funny or playful'
daring cardmakers wanted a layered image

phew - that was quite an achievement for me adding to all those blog challenges
think I need to go for a lie down now

glamorous lady

this image was stamped and embossed by Von for me
shes soooo pretty! love that necklace and dress, would be just me at christmas parties!!

I have added to my bit box (just when I was using things up too) with papers that I got in a pack a while back (think it was a docrafts bag)

I used sakura pens to colour her (apart from promarker - ivory on her skin)
thought she warrented a bit of 'bling'

I used the layout from cute card Thursday

tilda and birthday present

gosh! I really should go and check what stamps I already have before buying more, when I was going through them today, I found 2 that were exactly the same - very lovely but why do I need 2

heres a tilda that has been in my stash for ages and I forgot about her too
thought it was time to bring her out again to do a nice birthday card with

again I used promarkers to colour her in and all the papers were from the 'bit box' so I dont feel so bad for cutting into them now

the promarkers I used were
vanilla, pastel pink, rose pink, carmine, sunflower, canary, lemon, leaf green, bright green and berry red
the layout is from Simon Says Challenge

sweet sketch 59

I made this card using sketch 59 at sweet sketch wednesday blog
I made a front opening flap on the front and inside is a quote on friendship
'a true friend is someone who thinks that you
are a good egg even though
she knows that you are
slightly cracked'

I used up some papers I received in a swap at the crafty salon and the frame (in purple) was cut using the cricut

this morning I have been making my own digi stamps - with sentiments but planning on doing a bit of doodling too
so the digi is my own on the front and says
'thank you for being my friend'
which I put inside a scallop, I did this one in lilac so it would match in with my colours on the card

thanks for taking the time to have a look

city girl

whiff of joy challenge was a sketch this week
I really love these city girl stamps
I have coloured using promarkers and used the rest of my bo bunny 12x12 double sided paper

colours I have use of promarkers
vanilla, dusky pink, chestnut, cocoa, cinnamon, amber, pumpkin, bright orange, ginger, bright green and leaf green

this card is also suitable for challenges
at
cowgirls challenge - anything goes theme
creative inspirations challenge - also anything goes theme

thanks for taking time to have a peep

cutie patootie!!

I really love these kanban urban belle stamps
I havent used this one before, shes been stamped with memento ink by Karen (thanks for that)
I have coloured her with promarkers
Ivory & Blush on her skin
Cinnamon & Cocoa on her hair
Caramel on buttons & mittens
Clothes were with Hot Pink, Carmine & Rose Pink

the layout is a sketch challenge at sketch and stash
Papertake Weekly wanted 'cutie patooti' and she is just sooooo cute isnt she!
colour create challenge was some beautiful pinks and brown
(almost made me cry to cut into the background paper, it was 12x12 double sided from bo bunny - shame it had oranges on the other side so couldnt match it up)
Also Pollycraft wanted a birthday card for their challenge so have added a birthday sentiment done on the pc

one for the boys!!!

I have used acetate on this card but you cant see it very well
what I did was....

took a 5x5in ready cut card, cut half off the front, then I added a piece of acetate to the missing bit slightly over lapping.
I took the golf ball and tee's paper, covering inside and out of the card to disguise the acetate edges (is there a glue that wont show????)
I then added some peel offs so the join wasnt so obvious and the best wishes was also on a peel off, stuck to the inner paper

The golfing guy is decoupaged and its from C&C mens hobbies CD

over at Die Cut Dreams, the challenge was to use acetate so I will use this card over there - its not often I use acetate but have had some good ideas of how to use it now!!

I used canary and lemon for her hair
dress and boots withcarmine, rose pink and blossom
and skin with vanilla and dusky pink

I used a martha stewart punch to do the butterfly border and then layered with more papers.  I used some diamante embellishments and cut the flower on the cricut

new baby

over at the Crafty Salon, I have set a challenge of 'something new'
my input is 'new baby'
so used this beautiful decoupage image from some bunny loves me
and yet more freebie papers from a magazine

As bunny is holding a box of chocolates, I am going to enter him into Crafty Creations Challenge for their 'happy or sweet' challenge

something flowery

I just love it when a plan comes together!!
again this card was made using freebie papers from simply cards and papercraft magazine, as wellas all the 'embellishments too'
I used sakura pens to colour the image

its just perfect for the challenge at
which is 'something flowery'

thanks for looking
xx

techie tanya

another sassy studio design digi
this time I did use sakura pens to colour her except for the skin where I used promarker (vanilla) as I think its the only true skin likeness colour I own
(although I could use white if going off my own skin colour -I am just so pale)

anyway again I have used some of the free papers from a magazine
and used my SCAL to cut out the shaped card, fancied a change from square or rectangle!

and again I am going to use this card for Liz's challenge at OSAAT
and
it is perfect for the challenge at Charisma Cardz - their challenge is 'anything but a square'

if only card

this card has a lot of if onlys about it
if only I had not used promarkers (they smudeged a bit on the digi)
if only I had put a pink flower behind the green so it stood out more
if only I had made the swirl bigger!

anyway....
the digi is from sassy studio designs
there are loads of beautiful images there
I did use promarkers for the image
the papers were free with simply cards and papercraft magazine
and I am using the card for one stitch at a time challenge

thanks for looking
xx

stitchy digi

my mother (Liz) tells me I have to do something a little different for the challenge, so thought about lace (lace effect) and when I think of lace it reminds me of old ladies pants! so thought I would use this lacy doily effect card, cut on the cricut to bring lace up to date a bit.
Used Sitchys digi image and some lovely (i think do crafts) paper then added a bit of ribbon, which is pink but you cant really tell by the picture,am not sure I am happy with the ribbon being on it, might have to take it off again
so this will be entered into the challenge at

belated tilda

aawwww I love this Tilda, shes so cute and just thought she would be perfect for a belated or a sorry card, just reminds me of myself!!!

used some beautiful embossed and glittered background paper, and yes more ribbon, think I am having my purple phase right now!!!

18th

I was asked by a friend to make an 18th birthday card for a family friend, think the paper was from a docraft bargain bag, but I have had it so long I cant remember now!

had a go at an easel card, I love these, they are so simple to make but are just so pretty.

tie a pretty ribbon

for the challenge at Crafty Us this week, I set the challenge as 'use some ribbon' not exactly a challenge for me I suppose as I love ribbon

heres what I did ....
even used up some of my 12x12 paper to do it!!! now that was the hard bit!!!
I am using this for the challenge over at one stitch at a time as well, the challenge there is lace, ribbon or bows

start of a new blog!!

well I thought it was time to start a new blog, one where I could put creations for challenges again, I haven't done any for such a long time now so thought maybe it was time!!!
